AKC Registered
Our ladies are AKC registered standard Poodles purchased from reputable breeders, and born from fully health tested parents. We do our best to make sure that they will produce the best pups! Breeders are chosen by their reputation, how long they have been breeding and by their transparency and honesty.
Mamas Bred Here
Once in a while, we will select one of our ladies to breed future mamas for our program. Her babies will be AKC registered and kept to build Huckleberry Hills Doodles and Poodles’ program with her amazing lineage.
Embark Tested
Our ladies are Embark tested before we make a decision to breed them. We want to do our very best to produce strong, healthy pups clear of any genetic health issues. Embark genetically tests for hundreds of potential issues pertaining to each specific breed. Their geneticists are available to answer any questions or concerns. Standard Poodles are specifically tested for:
- Degenerative Myelopathy
- Neonatal Encephalopathy with Seizures, NEWS
- Osteochondrodysplasia, Skeletal Dwarfism
- Progressive Retinal Atrophy, prcd
- Von Willebrand Disease Type 1, Type 1vWD
- Chondrodystrophy and Intervertebral Disc Disease,
CDDY/IVDD, Type 1 IVDD - GM2 Gangliosidodis
OFA Tested
Our ladies are tested in regards to all of the OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals) recommended tests. The OFA recommends the following basic health screening tests for all Standard Poodle breeding stock:
- Hip Dsyplasia (OFA Radiographic Hip Evaluation or
PennHIP Evaluation), - ACVO Eye Exam
- Autoimmune Thyroditis
- Sebaceous Adenitis
- Standard/Advanced/Basic Congenital Cardia Exam)

She is going to be a great foundational mama for Huckleberry Hills Doodles and Poodles. She has a lot of flashy color, with being a parti, phantom, tri-color girl that carries 8/9 intensity! But, it’s not all about the beautiful markings. Her temperament is outstanding and remarkable. She is human focused with a calm, stable, confident personality, yet willing to cut it up and have fun playing around. She is very intelligent which has given her the ability to learn quickly and teach those around her to do the same.
